Frequently Asked Questions

GlobeTrader Software FAQs

1. Getting Started / General

What is GlobeTrader?

GlobeTrader is an all-in-one wholesale B2B platform that helps direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands add a wholesale ordering channel — including a branded wholesale portal, inventory management, pricing and discount rules, invoicing, payments, sales rep tools, and analytics — all in one place.

GlobeTrader is built for three groups: Sellers (wholesale brands and DTC companies expanding into wholesale), Buyers (retailers purchasing from those brands), and Sales Reps (independent or in-house sales reps managing accounts and orders on a brand’s behalf).

Unlike pure inventory tools, GlobeTrader combines inventory management with a full wholesale storefront — signup forms, quick order forms, customer-specific pricing, checkout, invoicing, and a rep/CRM layer — so brands don’t need to stitch together multiple tools to run wholesale.

Not at all. GlobeTrader can connect to your existing ecommerce platform through optional theme integration, or run as a standalone wholesale portal if you don’t have one yet.

Most brands can have their wholesale portal configured — pricing rules, product catalog, and signup form live — within days rather than weeks or months. Timelines depend on how much product data needs to be imported and whether you’re connecting an existing ecommerce platform or starting from scratch.  Both options are super easy and quick to set up. Our onboarding team works with you every step of the way through your go-live date and beyond.

Yes — GlobeTrader offers a free 30-day trial, no credit card required. Start from the Try For Free page.

Yes — you can upgrade or downgrade between Essential, Pro, and Enterprise as your business grows. Monthly plans can be canceled anytime, with no penalty and no notice period required. If you cancel an annual plan partway through the year, we’ll refund you for the unused months — we designed our terms to be as low-risk and brand-friendly as possible, so you’re never locked into a plan that’s not working for you.

2. Pricing & Plans

How much does GlobeTrader cost?
  • Essential — $199/month ($159/month billed yearly): 1 user, 1–100 products, 0.50% (optional TradePay fee)
  • Pro — $299/month ($239/month billed yearly): 1–4 users, 100–1,000k products, 0.35% (optional TradePay fee) — Most Popular
  • Enterprise — $499/month (or $399/month billed yearly): 5+ users, 1,000+ products, 0.25% (optional if you add TradePay)

All plans include the core customer-facing features (customizable wholesale webpage, unlimited pricing rules, checkout, invoicing, discount tools, analytics) and admin features (inventory management, CRM, bulk import/export, sales forecasting). The main differences are user seats, product catalog size, and the optional TradePay payment processing fee percentage if you select TradePay, which decreases as you move up in plan tier. Otherwise, there is not transaction fee at all.

No — GlobeTrader plans do not carry a separate setup fee. You pay the listed monthly or annual subscription rate only.

This is a TradePay per-transaction fee (0.25%–0.50% depending on plan) charged only if you choose to have customers pay through GlobeTrader’s built-in payment processing system (TradePay) which comes with lower transaction fees for credit cards and ACH transactions than using your Stripe, Square, Authorize.Net or PayPal subscriptions. Wholesale comes with lower margins – GlobeTrader understands that and we built our own platform to accept payments at a lower fee than you have on most plans. Be sure to ask about TradePay during onboarding – we enjoy saving our clients money :)!

No — beyond the optional TradePay payment integration fee on transactions processed through the platform, your monthly or annual subscription is flat-rate monthly subscription only based on your plan tier, not your order volume or revenue.

You’ll be prompted to upgrade to the next plan tier that fits your catalog size or team size. Your existing data and account stay intact during the upgrade.

Yes — annual billing reduces the monthly rate across all three plans (e.g., Essential drops from $199 to $159/month).

Custom pricing may be available for high-volume or early-stage brands — reach out to our team at info@globetrader.com to discuss your situation.

Subscriptions are billed via all major credit cards, ApplePay, GooglePay or PayPal. Contact our team if you require an alternative billing arrangement.

What payment methods can my wholesale customers use?

Customers can pay using any payment option you have available. By default, all major credit cards are accepted. 10. Choosing GlobeTrader vs. Alternatives

How is GlobeTrader different from Cin7?

Cin7 is primarily an inventory/ERP-style platform with a B2B portal as one of several modules (alongside POS and manufacturing). GlobeTrader is purpose-built around the wholesale buyer/seller/rep relationship first, with inventory management built in to support that workflow — better suited to DTC brands specifically expanding into wholesale rather than complex multi-channel manufacturing operations.

RepSpark and NuORDER are strong in apparel/fashion with deep size-and-color matrix ordering and are often priced/positioned for larger, established wholesale operations with custom quotes. GlobeTrader offers transparent, published pricing and a more integrated all-in-one toolkit designed to be accessible for growing DTC brands adding their first wholesale channel.

MarketTime is built primarily for multi-line sales agencies and reps managing many brands at once, with strong offline order capture. GlobeTrader is built brand-first, giving individual wholesale brands their own branded portal, pricing engine, and analytics.

Shopify B2B works well if you want everything inside your existing Shopify admin, but wholesale-specific tools (rep management, forecasting, tradeshow ordering, wholesale-specific CRM) are more limited or require add-ons. GlobeTrader is purpose-built for wholesale while still connecting to your existing Shopify (or other) storefront.

No but you might want to 🙂 – You can run GlobeTrader alongside your existing B2B or DTC platform — it’s designed to connect to your current storefront rather than replace it, so your operations continue as-is while wholesale runs through GlobeTrader as your B2B source of truth.
